Ooltewah Youth Association is home to the Chattanooga region's leading recreational softball program. We support 3 seasons of Softball: Spring, Summer All-Stars and Fall.

Our Spring season runs late-February through late May.  The Spring season ends before Memorial Day.  No players are "cut" in the Spring.  Everyone who signs up plays.

Summer softball is for our All-star teams. Players tryout for the team in late April/early May. Players are then invited to summer teams. Rosters range from 11 to 13 players, depending on the coach. In 2024, we fielded 6u, 8u, 10u and 13u All-star teams and the 10u and 13u teams won Dizzy Dean State!

Our Fall season begins with practices in August and games the Tuesday after Labor Day. The season ends around Halloween. No evaluations are held and no players are "cut" in the fall.

Age groups offered include:

• 6u (5 and 6 year olds, plus some 4's that will turn 5 during the season)
• 8u (7 and 8 year olds)
• 10u (9 and 10 year olds)
• 13u (11, 12 and 13 year olds)
• 16u (13, 14, 15, and 16 year olds)

The age group a player plays in is determined by their age on January 1st of each year.  In the Fall, ALL PLAYERS MOVE UP, so the age group is determined by their age on January 1, 2025.
